Thanks, gentlemen, for your replies and photos - I appreciate them all and shout-outs for the images - it's been years since I've seen them and my kudos to all of you for digging them up. . .now, let's take this whole process a step further - can anyone tell me who took them down in April of 1978? I know a company called White Way Sign built them and erected them, but it would be interesting to see their demise in photographs - such an iconic part of the city - and so many dead ends in trying to find out where they went and who participated in their un-erection.
. .(I did not mean that the way it sounded). . .anyway - leads, information, and what not would be appreciated and acknowledged.
