ATLANTA | 811 Peachtree St. | 122 M / 400 FT | 35 FL

Quote:
A 35-story apartment tower pitched for the heart of Midtown could make a profound architectural statement and break the glassy mold set by recent Atlanta high-rises. On a site at 6th and Peachtree street that's currently a parking lot, The Integral Group is planning a $70 million development that would offer 25,000 square feet of retail and roughly 400 apartments, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. It would rise just south of the Viewpoint condominiums, another tall residential component of the Midtown Mile.

Developer Egbert Perry told the newspaper he wants the project to be "iconic" in order to stand the test of time. Designed by architects Perkins+Will, the concept is an arresting geometric monolith and a contrast to the sleek glass that's filled the city's skies of late.

New construction of a 35-story mixed-use project at the SE corner of Peachtree Street and 6th Street. The scope includes 391 apartment units and 25,000 SF of ground floor retail. Eight levels of structured parking will accommodate 550+ vehicles.

Resembles the Sail Tower in Jeddah, also designed by Perkins+Will. Just multicolored and not as tall, but similar form/design influence.

Looks like they let the "http://eviva-peachtree.com/" domain expire last month.

Cancelled

An article on this was published a week after this thread was created, officially announcing it's demise.

Developers Pull the Plug on Eviva on Peachtree

Quote:
The Integral Group has pulled the plug on its highly-anticipated Eviva on Peachtree mixed-use development in Midtown.

Crews Wednesday were spotted dismantling signage and fencing along the perimeter of the site for the would-be 32-story project design by Perkins + Will.

On a visit to the space Thursday, What Now Atlanta (WNA) found the signage and fencing in a dumpster.

Eviva on Peachtree's website, first registered in April 2016, expired last month and is up for auction on GoDaddy.

he project, at 811 Peachtree Street NE, was first uncovered in 2014 when construction permits were filed with the City of Atlanta. Signage and fencing went up several years later towards the end of 2017.

The plot of land—a lot managed by Lanier Parking—has since sat motionless.

Eviva on Peachtree promised "383 luxury rentals" and "neighborhood retail" with a delivery of early 2018, according to the now-disposed-of signage.

It's unclear why the strikingly-designed tower won't move forward.

Representatives for the developer, when reached by WNA on the telephone, would not immediately comment.
