Yep - it's PCL. Those panels are horrific. Would have been nice to see Harvard brand them, as they did with Tower III. Especially given that they'll be there for a year and a half.

Although a large tower like Mosaic's can hold over 600 workers and I believe SGI's has 850.

So maybe one large tower every few years with a smaller one every year or so.

The large majority of these are downtown
Thanks for that stat. Very interesting! That is a really large amount of office workers for a city Regina's size. Also of note, that stat was released before Mosaic Potash Tower was completed, so there are probably over 30 000 now!

How many will 1855 Rose hold? I understand it will be the largest office by sq. footage in the province, so it's gotta be between 800 - 1000.

I think it's to be the largest office building in the competitive market. If I recall correctly, the Sasktel building would still be larger, but it is owned by the crown corp outright. (Maybe it's been tweaked to be larger now, I don't know).

They must have selected a finalized design/proposal for the new SGI Building.

Nope not yet these guys are just renewing their permit. Being proactive in the event they're the winning bid I guess.

Recently, Doubletree (the old Regina Inn) owners indicated they are interested in a second hotel development in Regina. Is it possible they might partner with the winning SGI bid to turn the old building into a hotel. They seem to like redevelopment of existing buildings as opposed to building new. I guess the other prospect is partnering with Capital Pointe.

I really hope they make the street level retail beautiful, of quality and have landscaping to really show that Harvard can create something other than office development in Regina. I mainly am hoping for them not cutting corners on this development concerning the retail. Eau Clair in Calgary is going to be amazing and it makes me wonder if the Cornwall Centre would have been built by the Hill Family, what that would have looked like.

Well, if the ex-SGI Building were to be converted into a hotel, then every room will have a very high ceiling. Plus, I wonder if the top two floors will be utilized.

All the old street level buildings between the Farm Credit building and Harvard Tower III on hamilton are now all gone - just the cement slabs and bits of rubble left.

Slow going on the excavation. There is a lot of reinforced concrete foundation that need to be removed. Also with three levels of underground parking, they have a massive hole to dig.
