I don't have any pics to show, but Denver's getting some pretty impressive pedestrian bridges over I-25 to connect the new SE Corridor LRT (T-Rex project) stations to the parking lots/garages across the freeway... They're all very similar, and some of them are quite impressive in terms of their length...

there's the multi-level skybridge connecting two Jefferson hospital buildings in Philly- always liked that one.

It recenctly won the 2006 IDEAS 2 award (Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel) *snicker snicker* sorry but some of these award names are a little silly.
Like I said above, it has a great light show at night. Kind of makes me dizzy.

The following skybridge defaces one of Detroit's best Art Deco masterpieces. Fortunately you can get a few good views from the other side of the building. It connects the Guardian Building (1929) with the 1 Woodward (1962, former Consolidated Gas building). The latter skyscraper was designed by Minoru Yamasaki.

This one connects the Fisher Building (1928) with a parking garage. Another one of the same style connects the other side of the Fisher with the New Center building.

Sky bridge

It doesn't connect 2 buildings, but the Grand Canyon skybridge will be hella cool when complete. (the floor is clear plexi)

see height comparison here:

Mass transit bridges don't count. We're talking pedestrian bridges!

Not my favourite example, but a nice local none the less.

Sorry about the size to those with less adequate screen dimensions.

Agreed about the Guardian one. It looks like 1 Woodward is preparing to board the poor thing
