How come in SSP there aren't specific threads for a single stadium, like at SSC. I think it would be better to have a single thread for a single stadium instead of a GIANT thread for EVERY SINGLE stadium in the world. It's too cluttered.

Create one if you are interested in it. There are a lot of stadium-specific threads in the corresponding sub-forums of their respective geographic areas just so you know.

Marlins Ballpark progress
You know what they say... If there's grass on the field, play ball.

And the soon to be infamous aquariums

Offset to the left and right a bit, but yeah, behind home plate. You'll probably see them during the at bats.

Yeah that seems like it's a little bit nicer than the old park.

Who the hell cares? It's a huge improvement over the Marlin's old park and now maybe they'll actually sell some tickets.

and what does that have to do with anything? The Orange Bowl was demolished because it an archaic relic & the city of Miami didn't have the funds to maintain it. Besides the Orange Bowl was a football stadium that wouldn't have adapted well to baseball.

Houston Dynamo Stadium (MLS):

All pics from their facebook page:

You can see the light rail tracks being laid.

The stadium is being constructed directly east of downtown in a mostly industrial area that has seen a bit of new residential construction the past few years.

But the history of the Orange Bowl is amazing. It hosted the 'Orange Bowl' for 61 years. It was also a BETTER stadium than the current Sun Life Stadium (or if you want to call it by the other 10 names). The only similar stadiums Florida has to that are the Orlando Citrus Bowl, and (partially) Doak Campbell Stadium.

(Not to mention) Wrestlemania would look awesome at the Orange Bowl (yet it's being held at Sun Life Stadium)

Here are a bunch of pictures from the Miami Marlins new Stadium. It opened up yesterday with their first home game I believe.
