^ Why do you have a problem with the name change? When they were called the Florida Marlins they weren't even playing in the city of Miami itself but at the Dolphins stadium which is halfway between Miami & Ft. Lauderdale. Now they will be actually playing in the city itself.

How about the South Florida Marlins? Goes along with the regional nameing of the Tampa Bay teams.

Since all the Broward or Palm Beach folks are threatening to never go to little Havana, I'm fine with just calling them the Miami Marlins.

^ yeah I heard the same thing! Amazingly when the Dolphins played in the old Orange Bowl they would drive to Little Havana! So why not for the Marlins?

The price tag of this project is an embaressment to all British Columbians...such an excessive waste...for what this ROOF cost, we could have built a world class stadium from scratch.

They didn't exactly flock to the Panther's arena when they built it in their own back yard, either....

That's the name it should have been all along....
(btw....if all goes as planned, I'll be getting a tour of the new ballpark tomorrow.....Can't wait!!)

Great for the Gophers and Twins. Are the Vikings still going to be stuck with the nasty old Metrodome? Or has there been anything official for a new NFL stadium?

What's the capacity for the Gopher's stadium?

I think the new U of Minnesota stadium holds between 50 & 55,000....
The Vikings will be getting a new stadium....in Los Angeles...
