Fuck off, you don't own a view, unless you own the air rights and/or land between your house and whatever it is you're viewing.

And don't even get me started with the "but traffic" excuse...

Not to mention, a lot of the signs about "something, something, don't add traffic and build this building in the area" came from those cookie-cutter townhomes around 11th and 12th street that are no more than 3-4 years old....and are terrible for urban development....

This could have been as good as Plaza Saltillo in a way, and even then, Plaza Saltillo could've been even better if they'd been granted more license to build higher. I remember talk of a movie theater going in there at some point.

I swear to God, if I was the developer on this....I would plant and, over time, shape a bush like a giant middle finger facing East. I actually liked that it was called Huston for a minute....just because CM Houston fought it so bad....the irony was sweet.

They also could have called it Doozy. Instead of two slender taller buildings that would have allowed more light and air into the neighborhood, they're getting a block long stump with considerably less, considering it was going to have a grocery store.

They should have listened to Willy.

Shorter crane was jumped today. The main tower is about one story above ground, but the parking is just now surfacing.

Damn, I haven't been down there in months due to COVID. I bet I'd be blown away by this progress.

This tower seems to have made more progress in the last two months than the year and a half before it. You can see a small amount of the site from the Alexan Capitol webcam, but it's very blurry and small.

From the corner of the Alexan Capitol webcam:

This is my favorite project in the city. I don't talk about it much, but I think it'll be one of the more impressive towers going up right now. The floorplates are the size of city blocks, and it'll be the tallest thing East of I-35 for several years to come.

Currently it looks like they're pouring a floor a week. It's pretty much the same height as Eleven right now. This should top out in early Fall.

Sheesh. This thing already looks hulking in the pic posted above by Urbannizer. Just imagine 10 more floors on top of that. It's going to be a goliath. Will definitely add a lot of density downtown.

Wow, it really is moving quickly. It probably won't be long till it tops out. It's only 15 floors.
