The site plan went into review.

https://abc.austintexas.gov/web/perm...ertyrsn=201188

It looks like the office space was reduced from ~325K Sq. Ft. to ~250 Sq. Ft. based on what was stated in the October ABJ article. The residential component stayed about the same at 362 units. There is no height info.

Here's a link to the site plan. The elevations are on pages 16-19. The tallest side is the south elevation. The exact height cannot be determined because the lowest starting point on the south side needs to be estimated. But it's about 428' tall.

Curved corners! I'm curious to see what the updated renderings will show. Looks like it will be an interesting looking building!!

They posted the site plan today to the AULCC page. It looks like it's 423 feet with 31 floors.

It looks like the same elevations that were posted in January. I don't think anything changed because the 428' was based on the bottom of the stairs on the south elevation.

This might be the first big project to be a victim of the recession. Cielo put the block up for sale per the ABJ.

This has been around so long that I don’t think it was ever going to happen. The recession is a perfect excuse.

Yeah. Even economic factors aside, I don't think much of any residential building will go here prior to ARCH being moved (if it ends up moving).

Renderings were never released for the last version of Block 87. This was one of them apparently:

That amenities deck overlooking the Sally and the ARCH would have been quite a selling point for prospective occupants.

But the wind seldom blows from east to west so the smell of urine wouldn't have been a problem. It's too bad this didn't happen. The height on that block is needed to keep extending the decent highrisers in that direction.

New Site Plan filed today for Block 87. Not much information yet but lists proposed usage as Mixed Use.

That's interesting. It's a withdrawal/resubmit of the old site plan. I'm guessing they are likely tweaking the last version of the project. The CVC limited floor plates mean it's still probably hotel or residential. But I think hotel is the best option with the Arch not going anywhere.

The address changed to 701 Trinity. The property is still owned by an LLC using Cielo's address on Congress. So the site/project was not sold.
