There's not a lot of hype for these buildings, which I think is strange. Based on the renderings, the main building is going to be very tall and buckhead is going to look very different (and more expansive) when this is done. Kind of an "outside" location, I guess, but still within the buckhead business district. Should frame the buckhead skyline and will probably act as an outer edge. Even more emphasis on the Peachtree/Lenox intersection.
I've never really been a fan of the "tower in a park" idea (a-la Plan Voison), so these buildings, however nice they might appear from a distance, just aren't doing it for me.
Is it really an office park forever or is it just because it is on the edge of nothing at this time? The rendering makes it's surroundings look a lot more park-like than the actual photo by Joe.

That sort of thing can change pretty quickly. When One Atlantic Center was built on 14th Street twenty years ago, people were amazed that anyone would put a tower like that "way out there" by itself.

OAC was and still is (to an extent) a "tower in the park." it even has it's own! i'm thinking that 3630 is close enough to the main buckhead skyline that it will be part of its overall impact, not a separate entity like some of the buildings further down peachtree
From the UC pic it appears both towers are UC? That's new.

Finally an update about The Residences at 3630 Peachtree!
Construction has reached floor 23 and the building is going to top out this coming November. Residents can expect to move in by Fall 2009.
Sales are set to begin this coming Fall. Next month the developer will be releasing more details about 3630's sophisticated residences, which will include: 121 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences and seven penthouses. Residences will be priced from the $600,000's.
The residences will feature spacious, open floorplans, hand selected custom finishes, large private balconies with stunning views of Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead. World-class shopping, fine dining and Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhoods are all within walking distance.

what's up with the webcam? It stopped on Oct 14th. I count 31 floors on the last day of the webcam...3630 is supposed to be 34, right? Is it topped out yet? Anybody got any recent pics?
