Aside from Historic Downtown and the older areas of JC , the newer areas suffer from a 9-5 issue.... During the Weekday the Newer areas of Jersey City are ghost towns....the older areas still retain a sense of busyness... Hoboken is a little different due to all the bars and restaurants and touristy stuff near or along the Waterfront... Thus it feels like an extension of Manhattan rather then suburban city...

I think it's weird that all the new little projects in JC have a pitched roof. No roof decks in JC?

It really depends on the area. A lot of those newer larger buildings are being built by Harborside/Exchange, which is a 9-5 area, or the corners of the PAD, which is just old warehouses - so no real reason to walk around there yet. There's always people by the waterfront, Marin and the Grove Street/Newark Ave/Montgomery Ave areas. I just try to avoid having them in my pictures

And I don't think there are as many small rooftops/roof decks as there are in NY, but some buildings have them - mainly the mid-rise ones. The last photo update I did wasn't from the waterfront but a less desirable area - I'd assume rooftop decks aren't really budgeted for in buildings over there.

Anyway, large update of mainly smaller projects - Village/Hamilton Park/Harsimus Cove area
