Ok, this is a question i have had on my mind for a loooooong time

Why are there two skyscraper pages (SCP & SCC) that are almost identical in subject, form and even formatting. I use to get the two confused as one when i first started lurking. It makes no sense! I lurk on SCC about once every week and i find they have much more interesting international topics in which i would love to comment but then you need to re-sign up again! This forum though is 10 times better for Canadian and Vancouver topics and international photography.

It urks mw, why bake a cake twice?

I found it but it wasn't easy since SSC seems to have way more subsections than SSP. It's at 109 pages but it's also been going for over 3 years which means a new page about every 10 days.

Not exactly my idea of "busy".

You were expecting thirty posts a day about new development in Kamloops?

There's a good amount of discussion on that thread, all things considered.

The Canadian section is very quiet over there, but whatever. They have an active Kamloops section, so I'll be visiting there every so often for updates.

Thanks for the info

Oh, and just out of curiosity, what are the average home prices in Kelowna these days? Are they falling?

Yeah, falling quite a bit. They hit something between 499,000 and 515,000 back in april or may.
Now, I'd guess it's closer to 400,000.

I was driving down St. Paul and noticed a sign put up by Edgecomb builders. I don't think it was there until very recently (I drive this route a lot).

I took a look around their website and found this:

Anyone know anything about it? I don't think they've applied for permits or anything yet...

Yeah, this is the lot right behind Cannery Lofts, in between the small law offices and the Yoga House on the other side.

hello Kelownians, err Kelownites.... uh what do I call you people?

I'm starting to toy with the idea of relocating from EDM to Kelowna, a good opporutunity may soon arise to keep my gradparent's house (along mission creek I believe) in the family.

Is there a "move to Kelowna" website or something that I can't find? I've visited Kelowna numerous times, but never with the thought of possibly living there. Essentially I'd like to read more about the City.

Thanks all

I'd also like to know if a "move to Kamloops" website exists, aswell. Thanks!

I thought it was only supposed to be temporary.

Yeah, I think it is.

Says 10-year lease, so I'm guessing as that area fills out the arena will pack up and move elsewhere...

Hey Wisla, what part of, "Kelowna Council has unanimously approved a temporary sports complex for the city's north end" didn't you understand? It was in the very first paragraph of that link ogopogo fan posted.

I know, I had read the article earlier, but I dunno, I guess I thought when he posted it that it was somehow going to be permanent.
