Looks good. All the little red awnings seem to be retail.

Looks like they're building a trailor in the empty lot across the street too!

Daily may be too much. But I will be able to take pictures at my leisure as this is right across the street from me.

100 Labor

Quote:
The San Antonio Housing Authority and Franklin Development’s proposed mixed-income apartment and townhome development near Hemisfair was approved with a new, shorter design and significantly less retail and commercial space.

The project on two plots on Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and Labor Street — named 100 Labor — was reduced from five to four stories due to budgetary concerns, according to plans submitted by Alamo Architects to the Historic and Design Review Commission for review at its Feb. 19 meeting.

Previous plans called for 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and 11,000 square feet of commercial space. The latest plan reduced retail and commercial space to 5,450 square feet.

Of course.
This whole project is crap. The one thing I cannot tell is did they reduce both to 5,450 or combined they will only be 5,450?

Did you see they are also allowing aluminum window frames?

I read it as 17,000 - 11,550 = 5,450. That's 32% of the original amount of retail space.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this location is near the soon to be "former" federal courthouse/Institute of Texan Cultures...correct?

Is this next to the area where Silver ventures plans to build in the future?

Another 5-over-1 wood multi-unit building. They don't make 'em like they used to.

(Apparently 3 over 1 in this case.)

I'm just glad we're getting retail in the immediate area. Alamo is a cute walk. But the only thing in this neighborhood is a corner store. It would be nice to have a restaurant or bar.
