Download IrfanView, it's a terrific photo and image editing software that's really easy to use. And it's free!

You may have already found this question answered but - the other day I drove down Edmonton and noticed that they completed the steel build out basically right to the street. It now looks like the same width as the existing building.....on the Edmonton side at least.

^ Yes, I noticed that. A bit more pleasing to the eye now.

It's great to see this building coming along. I can't tell you how gratifying it is to FINALLY see one of Winnipeg's big old surface parking lots disappear. For the longest time it seemed like nothing was ever going to be built on those sites.

Not yet. They are still stripping material off the original building.

I haven't driven by there in a while, but it looks like it's coming along quite nicely. You don't realize how big the existing convention centre is, until you see the size of the expansion. Then you realize how truly big the convention centre will be once completed.

Especially in relation to the other buildings downtown. That is one massive footprint.

Some pictures from June 25

A couple of pictures that show the alignment with the existing building.

Great photo... all the Convention Centre needs now is to get that hotel project moving and to bring the Winnipeg Cyclone back... then it will be all set
