Something like DC’s jazz in the garden I’m sure would be a hit here (or elsewhere in Atlanta). Occurs every Friday evening from mid-May through August, weather permitting. Come for free music and dance, pay for drinks and food.

That said, I expect this place to be a restaurant and rentable space for weddings and corporate events.

Legacy Ventures Planning A Luxury Boutique Hotel In Downtown Atlanta

https://www.bisnow.com/atlanta/news/...atlanta-102452

Quote:
Legacy Ventures is in the works on the second phase of its Park Pavilion mixed-use project at Centennial Olympic Park. The first phase, delivered in 2008, already includes a 242-room Hilton Garden Inn as well as 50K SF of retail and an attached parking deck. Now, the developer plans to develop a $65M, 150-room luxury hotel — called Ventanas — atop the parking deck, Legacy President David Marvin said during Bisnow's Atlanta Construction & Development event Thursday morning.

The hotel — to be named after Legacy's 10K SF rooftop events facility at the Hilton Garden Inn — could break ground as soon as the first quarter of 2021, Marvin told Bisnow. Ventanas will be owned and operated by Legacy Ventures, he said.

About 18 acres along the new Westside Beltline Connector is now under the control of a Dallas based real estate giant.

Lincoln Property Co. bought a collection of sites along Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway near its intersection with Northside Drive, paying about $38 million, according to Fulton County real estate records.

A partnership including Atlanta developer Brock Built LLC, Defoor Ventures and 60 West Funds sold the properties. On Thursday, a Lincoln Property executive said the company was unable to comment immediately on the next steps.
The existing plan for the site.

Modera Centennial Park

Here's the site which was once proposed as an office building. I'd be very excited to see this move forward as residential.

Do we know what this Modera Centennial Park building looks like? I don't remember seeing any renderings.

No we have not. This was previously the "Time Square South" development.

This rendering was one of the first I saw when getting into development. It's a shame it never happened, but I trust Modera.

With 330 residential units on a site that small, it will probably be closer to double that estimate. I'm not sure if the hotel they mention is an additional hotel or the Ventenna's proposal across the street.

Ventennas will be by Legacy Partners I believe, who built the HGI and the attached parking deck it will sit on top of. So this will be a completely different hotel.

The hotel lobby in the site plan is different than Ventenna’s across the street, for sure. Looks to be separate from the hotel just south of the Modera site, too.

Right. I am assuming the Legacy Ventures is still a partner in this development, considering that they own the Embassy Suites, with Mill Creek handling the residential.
But Street advocate is right. There is a new hotel lobby in the site plan.

This is great news! Looks like downtown is about to catch fire if the economy keeps humming along.

Woah This looks GREAT! I think in the long run, residential is a much better use at that location than office space. Very exciting development!

I'll go ahead and call it. Downtown will be the "Midtown" of the 2020's in terms of wave after wave of development activity.

That's assuming Midtown slows down.
