Not stalled at all. Just in first gear.

Biff is right. First 21 floors will be complete and online before the rest (if the rest does indeed happen). Deadline for first 21 floors is early/mid 2021 according to current word around the place.

Hmm. There’s possibility that it will cap off at 21 floors?

I admit I don't have firsthand experience with it, but living in a highrise that's still under construction doesn't strike me as the most appealing arrangement...

The building I work in has been under some form of renovation for the past maybe 4 years. It gets old pretty quick. Especially when elevators are either out of service or tied up for construction use.

I presume they'll utilize the exterior construction elevators as opposed to the building elevators when finishing the upper floors? However, I presume they'll need to use the interior elevators when doing suite finishing.

I can't imagine they would be doing much interior fit-out at this early stage anyhow. The bottom floors of the tower would need to be enclosed first.

Structure first. Interior finishes later.
Even the structural steel was going in at a snail's pace since Aug., highly unusual for the work on the core to just stop for 5-6 months though no?

Word last winter was that the steel was going to just fly once the core reached a certain height and then things would sail along tickety-boo!

There has been many comments made around the financing of this project due to unforeseen circumstances. Is this to assist financing the remainder of the project (pulling in rental income while construction is ongoing)?

I think it was always planned this way. I think we may be over thinking what "still under construction means"

I would expect the building will be topped out by the time the first 21 (or so) floors are occupied. Some might be thinking the crane will be raising steel girders outside your bedroom window kind of construction.

I believe that is outdoor amenity space.

Inside that glass is the mezzanine floor between 1st and 2nd where there will be a corridor connecting the skywalk to the main floor of 330 Main and 300 Main, and also several CRU spaces. Outside the glass is going to be a dog run for apartment residents.

Lots of steel beam/girders being stocked at the storage site for 300 Main at Warman Rd and Lagimodiere.

SE....the north side of that salvage -used construction equipment dealer. They have been using that as the staging point for the Delta Beams but now are stockpiling some of the big steel columns and girders.

I wonder how they are pouring concrete for the core without the concrete tower/pump at the very top?

How has the slip form gone up if there is no concrete being poured?

It was said they had enough concrete poured before the pump came down to raise the core a couple levels. So they then could install the steel and hollowcore up to a certain level, allowing the crane to be braced. Which they could then raise the crane, which couldn't be done unless it was braced. Then re-install the concrete pump, and carry on.
