Bexar County Justice Cntr. 10 floors - DT San Antonio

I just heard on Woai that ground was broken today for a new 10 story justice center downtown. The information is also on the Bexar County website but there is no rendering. Does anyone know anything concerning this project?

Interesting. 10 floors is pretty good actually. The one in Austin is only 11 floors, but it's 204 feet tall.

Thumbs up {SA} 10-Story Justice Center Breaks Ground Downtown

A while back I mentioned a 10 story building that was planned near the Bexar County Courthouse, well, it turns out it's a new 200,000 sq foot Justice center that will house the D.A. and other local government positions and offices.

By assuming they'll have the lobby floor taller, it'll probably be as tall as the Texas Building on Houston or the building thats attatched with a skywalk to the CPS garage/offices.
I wonder if they'll be working on the garage addition simultaneously?

Sounds like this could add some density.

Go to the County webpage, then click News Releases on the first page. The Justice Center piece is the first one.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there's three gov't buildings lined up: this one, the Federal Courthouse, and the Police HQ.

^^^ I think you're right, aren't they all going to be built on the same property or something, wasn't that the plan?

Yes there is.

No.

The JC is near the Bexar courthouse and adjacent to the current JC.

The Federal Courthouse will be built on the current SAPD HQ.

The SAPD/SAFD HQ will be built on the old Kmart site which is down the street from the current SAPD.
