I kinda like it. There's a few minor things I would change.

You guys probably do have much higher standards.

I mean this is the prairie we're talking about. We build monstrosities out of pink stucco and fieldstone all the time out here.

The Venetian in Edmonton is probably the best example of our love of tacky architecture.

Why go all the way out to Italy when you can enjoy the splendor of Italy on 112th Street.

THat's what I thought until I went to Paris, ROme and London. I came back to Montreal almost disgusted.

All is relative, I guess.

That looks like a good area, and nicely designed.

I voted for the seniors complex in Regina as well.

It wouldn't have been nearly as horrific if the had at least made an effort to centre the Greco-Roman columns that are appended to the building. It would have looked far better without any of that crap.

It was a abandoned 1950s buidling that sat idle for several years until it was refurbished into this thing. I would have rather seen them tear it down and become another one of Regina's beautiful unmaintained Impark lots than become this.

The Capri in Saskatoon is a close second. Really, it is time to lose the palm tree sign.

Also, Sturdy Stone in Saskatoon is conspicuous by its absence from this list.

I was sure someone was going to nominate Sturdy-Stone. I wasn't going to do it though because I sort of like it. It's unique to say the least and it's probably the nicest parkade around, as far as parkades go.

The one that you guys think is a hotel is actually a seniors complex. You just have to get used to it. And it sure adds colour into the downtown. But from the ground up it looks ok and it is sure a lot better than what was there before. Well sort of.

It has solar panels!!
