While the tourist literature gave Bergen a reputation of rain and unpredictable weather, I woke up to a few days of bright blue skies, well against the odds of 260 wet days a year on average. With 7 hills and many islands, the city has a beautiful setting, albeit the price to pay is to co-mingle with the thousands of cruise passengers docking here during peak season.
