Atlantic Canada Road Trip (NY [QC, NB, PE, NS] ME)

Here are some photos from a road trip I took in August of 2013. Went to Albany, Quebec, Fredericton, Charlottetown, Halifax, Saint John, and Portland, with a few stops along the way. These photos are only from brief periods in the cities and I wish I had taken far more photos because I didn't cover nearly enough ground in each city. You may recognize some photos from my thread on the Empire State Plaza Thread, but in color. Either way, I hope you enjoy!

You did a beautiful trip, marcus! Thanks for sharing your pics.

Atlantic Canada and the Northeast of United States are two very pretty areas, with fabulous landscapes and cool cities and towns. Lovely and relaxing tour.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Nice pictures.

#25 is great. The colors are wonderful. But why would you make #26 black and white? The colors must be great in that one too.

Thank you!

Here's the photo (26) in color

Actually, you may be right, I may have made a bad judgement on that one

Ah, the famous red soils of PEI - great for growing potatoes.

PEI is my old home place - I grew up in Charlottetown.

Nice pics of Fredericton and Saint John too. I live in NB's other large city - Moncton. Great photo tour in general.

Fantastic pictures!!!
The ones which made me pause for an extra look were:
3. Albany
35. PEI B/W looks to be maybe Cavandish Beach
40. Halifax Citadel Hill
53. St. John I think looking east toward Irivings old Shipyard/Oil Refinery
55. St. John

Did you get any pics of the low tides in St John (bay of fundy)?
University of New Brunswick in Fredericton has some nice old buildings.

I also like seeing the red soil in the above picture. What is the trick to get the clouds looking like they are jumping out at you (as in 18, 40, and 48)? Is it just the way they are streaking?

Thanks man! I loved PEI. It is so pretty and so is Charlottetown! I absolutely loved crossing the bridge between the provincial border

I wanted to stop in Moncton when I saw it and realized it was kind of big! But time did not permit Moncton seems very unfamiliar for me - I had never real known about it, but it seems really nice!

I really loved Prince Edward Island, especially the National Park. So pretty there. I also felt like Saint John and Fredericton were absolutely beautiful! Also, Portland surprised me! Didn't take too many shots of it though

Thanks man! You're right about the locations of all the shots you mentioned! I did not take any pics of low tide in the bay of fundy and I didn't see UNB. Now I'm curious!!

As for the streaking, those are natural and then I really brought them out in photoshop

Thanks for the reply, may have to try that in Photoshop.
Yeah, Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world, makes for some interesting shots in different areas.
UNB is one of the oldest public universities in North America and the oldest English-language university in Canada
