Life in South Florida

As my first photo thread, I made some mistakes along the way and I had to use my phone(which surprisingly takes decent pictures). This is what I got so far and I will post more later.

These were taken in Stuart and West Palm Beach

I'm done. For now.

Great thread, I love photos of S Florida.

Any chance for some description, especially those that are hard to tell (no words, no signs, no street signs ... ) ?

Anyone knows about the following:

- What bridge is it and to where (pictures 7 & 8) ?
- Where is it with the gas station (street name) in picture 9) ?
- Picture 10 (small street) ?
- Picture 12 (another no name street) ?
- Pictures 13 & 14: Public place with stairs, university ?

- Pictures 7 & 8 is a US-1 bridge that goes over the Port of Palm Beach which connects Riviera Beach to West Palm Beach. The WPB skyline is seen in the distance. The bridge doesn't seem to have a name.

-The BP gas station is still on US-1( which is called Broadway in this area of Riviera Beach)

-The small street is 25th St, which connects US 1 from a dead end it reaches before turning east to continue on south to Downtown West Palm Beach.

-US-1 again, reconnected towards Downtown.

- This building is the Palm Beach County Courthouse. The older courthouse is right across the street, now a museum (older building with neoclassical style).

To just make the other picture clearer, all views of the skyline of Downtown West Palm Beach were taken from the newer courthouse. There's also a view north towards Riviera Beach, the other side of the Courthouse, and industrial views of the Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach and some of its undesirable areas. The bridge going towards West Palm Beach in the later pictures is Okeechobee Boulevard. The Palm Beach Convention Center and CityPlace can be seen here.

Just a little extra.

This is merely a sneak peak to my second photo compilation. I actually will put a lot more effort into that one despite the fact that my photo equipment is extremely basic. Stay tuned....
