Subtle creases to help funnel rain water to drains in the center. Deposited dirt gathers over time.

Maybe some of you deep diggers in Chicago can help me----why do some of the cessions have just the outer sleeve and others also have a separate smaller inner sleeve? I've noticed this in other cities (FMC building in Philly) so I guess its common practice.
Do the sleeves stay in the ground or get pulled out as the concrete fills up the hole?
Lastly, are the piers/rebar actually mechically attached to the bedrock, as in someone goes down into the hole and glues a pin into the rock, or are there enough cracks and fissions in the rock that the wet concrete can 'key' into?
Wow, that is a friggin awesome photo showing the scale of these cassions.

Thanks for answering my question vexxed82. I didn't see the drains.

Ten days since new pics! Thanks to the photographers who post, this is really out of the way for most Chicago people. Even most LSE residents dont have a clear view of this site, its either a trek to the dead end of Upper Wacker, or no view whatsoever. I feel like we are missing out on a lot of action, this site is just begging for a webcam.
How can we get OxBlue to set one up here? Does the client have to pay?

I went by the site today, they are now drilling rock cassions on the East half of the site and bell cassions on the West side. It appears one of the two smaller rigs broke down and they brought a smaller rig in to take over for now. A bunch of Patton CAT matainance trucks are on site working on the idle rig. Big cages going together now, shame we have no pics.

Haha, I should have, but I was in a big hurry and my phone takes absolutely shit photos when it is cloudy out. I have been thinking about buying a little DSLR and contributing a bit more myself though! I'm tired of burning through my phone's storage documenting my own projects (which is like 50-100 photos a week per project, so it adds up fast), thought I could justify writing one off as a business expense!

so what? find a way to do so without auctioning off citizenship to the global elite. and if they cant do so, without at the same time gerrymandering ludicrous census tracts to knock down the price, maybe the citizens of Chicago and the united states dont need these buildings so badly in the first place.

Wacker Drive east of Coast is now closed. What are normally east bound lanes from Columbus Drive to the turn-a-bout is now two way traffic, and what is normally westbound traffic in that area is now shut down.

The point of all these buildings is to house the global elite. These buildings aren't charging millions of dollars for a condo to house the middle class.

Letting my son play in LSE park after the Cubs parade, enjoying a view of Streeterville that won't be there much longer.

And I'll throw a shout out to Eggy's Diner there in LSE. Nice little place, and they have a bunch of LSE photos and aerials on the wall.
