Huh?! 19 goals (Neal) VS. 4 (Luc.) = HUGE win for the Oil. Smith (9 wins) vs Talbot (5 wins) = another Win for the Oil......

No one in Winnipeg wanted Myers re- signed as he was basically waiver wire talent level on D, to be fair he did come up with a good offensive outing on D every 15 to 20 games so about 5-6 times a season!

Jets picked up Sbisa on waivers back in the fall and he looks way better than Myers ever did at a fraction of the cost!

Yup!!!! Add this albatross of a contract to Loui Eriksson's.....they'll be buying out the Pylon's contract after next year's season at the latest.....fooled everyone on the Canuck's top brass.....

Talbot's lower win total than Smith's is highly misleading. Most of Talbot's losses haven't been on him (he's been very solid all season). The same most definitely can't be said of Smith, who's letting in at least as many softies this year as he did at his worst last year.

If you can honestly say you'd prefer to have Smith (3.03GAA, .897 Sv%) in the nets over Talbot (2.62GAA, .917 Sv%) this season then you've got some pretty thick homer glasses on. The Hockey News just gave Smith an F in their recent grading of off season free agent signings, so there's also that.

As for Neal versus Lucic, you can keep Neal's lazy, disinterested play (-21 as opposed to Looch's -2), and if you look at total points (27 for Neal, 10 for Lucic) and the fact that Lucic actually contributes even when he's not on the scoreboard I think I know which player I'd prefer to have on my team. We'll also thankfully take the draft pick that we'll get from you guys based on the goal differential between Neal and Lucic.

Such a letdown to have that Leafs-Jets game go to a shootout.
More of that Overtime please!

I think I would still rather have Neal than Lucic, and Smith wasn't ready to be a backup so he was out. Talbot has looked good the last few games but I have little confidence in him.

Edmonton dreams of having a top-9.

3-1 for Montreal.
