Rider Nation 2010

Seeing how in 2010 the Riders will be 100 yrs old, and noticing that with Winnipeg in the process of building a new Stadium, and i had a few days to myself i went out of my way to produce what i call the Future of the Mosaic Stadium. I will post some layouts and the current design i have built in Google SketchUp. Then i guess just leave some feedback Knowing that im a Riders fan second and i lived a good portion of my life in Saskatchewan, i went out and made this project in which i call "Rider Nation 2010" hopefully all u Rider fans like it. This is Purely for fun. Never know might be taken seriously

Based on current location, given the end result of the current format, completion of the upper deck on west side incomplete. as well as a office building on the south end, hidden.

the smoking/waiting/viewing area would obviously be blocked from the lane of traffic near by, with a wall

If you are going to go through the trouble. Might as well think big. The practice field along the CP tracks would be a great site for a new stadium.

i was trying to be creative, lol was bored at one point so. not to mention the fact the field has heritage. i guess in that case make new stadium new cp, keep taylor field as a practice field or something used in conjunction with other football/soccer related events.

You know you could easliy round out the whole thing. Havent you ever though about adding a section over ninth ave. If you did that, you could build a well rounded stadium without a gap.

i think even if 9th was removed to try and create the whole bowl, with existing houses it would pose a problem being so close. not to mention the ppl that probably depend on that road for access. in some sense a 'U' like pattern would fit perfectly have no stands in the north section. with the current shape and design the 100 and 200 levels alone would be over 30,000 alone, not to mention with the upper deck on the west side that would be a perfect fixed seating area.

That's a cool concept.

I'm guessing that tapered side of the stadium is going to be the part where it will expand one day, yes?
