From what I understand, it's all going to be one, connected space from beyond the railing on top of the concrete structure in front of the 1180 building, to the loading area of the Norfolk Southern building, to the white fence in front of Promenade building.

Hence what was meant in the previous post about tying into the foundations of the nearby buildings. Apparently the amenities deck of Opus gets just feet away from the Promenade building, because the property line actually goes beyond that white fence.

You'll be able to walk from Peachtree, in-between the Norfolk Southern building and the 1180 building, over a public landscaped roof and through a passageway under Opus 2 that will lead to the "retail pavilion" of Opus 1.

There will be 2 levels of retail along 14th Street; 3 or 4 spaces.

I don't think it's shown here in this model, but 14th Street, in front of the building, will be widened to 5 lanes to create a turning lane to improve traffic.

Here are the other pictures that I took while I was there.

The building model was from before they added the 7 levels of office space, so the condos and the amenities level begins 7 levels higher in the new design.

That lap pool has an infinity edge now. And holy crap, the amenities level is amazing. A mini IMAX movie theater? Yes, please! There's definitely nothing like this in Atlanta now.

I was frank about who I was: a curious Midtown homeowner who lives a couple of blocks away. They said anyone is more than welcome to stop in and take a look around, like I did. Before anyone else says this project is dead, they should do the same.

Based on what I saw, this is for sure happening! Don't believe me? Go see for yourself.

Cool! Nice updates.

I'm excited too and these all look great, but at the end of the day if they don't have financing, this is still vaporware.

I don't have connections who tell me the most intimate secrets about all projects in Midtown so long I keep it in the strictest confidence by vaguely referencing sources on a skyscraper forum, nor do I "hear" things like so many people here do. So I don't know if the rumors that they don't have financing are credible or not. But if they don't, that's a problem.

Also, what are the red arrows supposed to be showing? A proposed route for trucks to take? If so, 16th Street isn't a through street past the Arts Center station and The High, and it's certainly not accessible from The Connector as it's implying.

If this is the lack of attention to detail they're showing just in laying out a site access plan, I worry for the additional planning for 50+ stories.

wowuhhh, some people here are a little crazy. Anything to do with Opus they attack as being frauds and in over their heads. Now that there is a general contractor looks like they have become the new target du jour.

I think you are assuming that it implies that.

I wonder how they found the site with all of the mis-labeled arrows and routes?

Exactly, wait and see. Activity is promising for sure. Hard for some to be measured on this forum haha, though I understand, this has been a conundrum of a project since it was announced

What bank secured financing? You can't put the horse before the cart.
