Construction milestone brings Edmonton one floor closer to newest luxury hotel and residences
EDMONTON – May 8, 2018 –Today, ICE District Properties Joint Venture hosted media and VIP’s to the highest vantage point in the city, and currently, the highest tower in Edmonton, as they celebrated the topping off of JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District -The Legends Private Residences located on the corner of 102 Street and 104 Avenue in Edmonton. This much anticipated milestone marks the completion of the structural phase of the building, bringing Edmonton’s newest four-star hotel and private residential luxury suites one floor closer to reality.
Once complete, JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District will be only the third JW Marriott in Canada. The building will be 56 storeys in height – the first 22 storeys as hotel space with The Legends Private Residences above the hotel.

Slated to open in Q1 2019, JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District will feature 346 rooms and approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of meeting and conference space, a 10,500 sq. ft. ballroom, spa, swimming pool, and multiple restaurants operated by nationally-recognized Oliver and Bonacini Restaurants.
JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District will also be home to a 20,000 sq. ft. high performance fitness centre offering the latest technology and training philosophies, featuring unparalleled amenities and first-class personal service. This full-service facility will offer limited memberships.
Situated above JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District will be The Legends Private Residences – 262 sophisticated and functional condominium units that will occupy floors 23 through 54 of the tower, offering panoramic city views. The Legends Private Residences will feature a direct, inside connection to Edmonton’s enclosed pedway system which will grant access to Rogers Place, the LRT, and major office buildings in Edmonton’s downtown core. Residents will enjoy exclusive social and amenity spaces both indoors and outdoors, including a fully-wired boardroom that can be converted to a private dining room, party lounge with retractable glass walls (allowing owners and their guests to flow from inside to out), ample seating, large-screen TV’s, a wet bar and billiards lounge.
