They consider the CBD to be Buckhead, Downtown, and Midtown combined which is where the rent disparity came into play, but not sure about the absorption. I doubt the submarket boundaries are that much different, regardless, not that big of deal, just appears Midtown and Downtown absorption numbers were flipped.

That's correct but the JLL report shows that downtown specifically, not the "CBD" led the entire metro in office space absorption for 2018. As JSV mentioned, whether they define the BofA tower as downtown or Midtown is likely the difference between the two reports.

This graphic from Colliers also shows the strength of the intown markets.

Midtown Union a go?

Chris Bender tweeted this article. Assume that the tax abatement makes it very likely that Midtown Union is a go.

Midtown Union, both phases, seem very likely.

Or what google maps shows.

Also "NoSoNo" is not a thing. It's "SoNo", referring to South of North Ave.

It's amazing how quickly people get triggered on here...and the things that trigger them....

Mention Eviva, Opus, Poop, or Sono and people just go off...

NoSoNo, SoNo NoSo..

I've literally never heard anyone use those terms outside this forum. Let's just keep it as Midtown and Downtown.

BofA will always be in a weird space in regards to which district it lies in. But not everything needs to have an answer.

WOW. This is the best illustration of the Atlanta Office market breakdown I've ever seen. Easy to comprehend.

If Downtown and Midtown was one combined CBD, as many visitors believe it to be, the CBD would have over 50 million square feet of office space. How does that number compare to other large CBD's in America?

Would Atlanta be as large as Philadelphia, Houston, Miami, Boston?
Just asking? Thanks in advance.

And, if you add Buckhead, the city's total office space (within city limits) would surpass 73 million square feet. Not bad for a city of less than 500,000 people.

For comparison, Philly's CBD is 2 square miles and over 40 million sq ft of office. Philly also has several other business districts.

Midtown Manhattan has 285 million square feet of office space, however, only 200 Million is class-A.

JLB filed a planning permit today for phase 2 of 99 West Paces Ferry. "Phase two to include 186 multifamily apartment units, 8,500 feet of live work space, and 357 parking spaces."

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned here, but from a distance this morning it looked like a full mobilization at Atlantic Yards. I thought I saw a piling rig and a crane.
