Sarnia, Ontario
Sarnia is the largest city on Lake Huron and is located at the tip of the lake as it drains into the St. Clair River. Just downstream is the Chemical Valley, a major site of petrochemical industry. Also at the head of the river, the Bluewater Bridge links Point Edward to Port Huron, Michigan. Sarnia's downtown area has had its ups and downs but seems to have improved since the last time I was there. These pictures were taken very early in the morning and the tour includes photos of the bridge, downtown, the chemical valley and some of Sarnia's older housing.
Next time I'm down this way I'll head across the river for a tour of Port Huron

Ya Flar, how have you avoided frostbite so well this winter? haha
I've never been to, or even seen pics of, Sarnia before. So thanks for introducing me. I'm actually pleasantly surprised! I didn't realize there were that many Highrises out there.
One of my closest friends grew up there and she's never had much nice to say about it, but all in all it looks reasonably decent. And considering it's a Canadian city, I'm bound to like it since I seem to like all things Canadian.
^^Sarnia's not too bad, but like most blue collar cities, the kids want to leave and never look back. Downtown was much worse though, lots of things have probably been fixed up since your friend left.
The weather has been brutal in Southern Ontario this year, the record for snowfall was almost broken this February and temperatures have been below normal all winter. This day was about -1 Celsius. I've gotten used to it this year, I just wear gloves and a toque and I've kinda grown to enjoy the challenge of taking pictures in snowy conditions (when most of the photo is white it becomes difficult to get a good exposure).

Here are some other views of Kenwick Place, the only decent skyscraper I ever got to see when I lived in this area:
It's quite thin

Lookin' good, and I'm in love with Taylor's Furniture.

Awesome. What kind of camera did you use, flar? Great quality.
I used my trusty Nikon D50 with 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 lens (a couple are with the telephoto) on aperture priority, many of these with exposure compensation.
