Lets support businesses we feel contribute to our urban environment. Does the Legion? I'll side with Galston and say that its the biggest waste of space at the city's best retail location... kind of like a miniature version of the Assembly of Chiefs wanting to build their glass government house within the big box Polo Park sesspool.

Wednesday is the only day that works for me. Is a decision going to be made soon?

Oh, I was going to suggest the Round Table. Why? Cause I hear they have the most number of beers on tap in Winnipeg!

I'm not a millionaire, I wouldn't be able to eat/drink at the Roundtable. Man their portion sizes suck.

However, I think Poot had an interesting idea about giving our business to an establishment that supports our ideals.

I've never been there, so I didn't know the prices. But don't we just want to drink beer? Can it be that expensive for just beer??? (I like beer, if you haven't figured that out )

Hey Archiseek! Next time you're in the UK, any chance you could bring me back a 6 pack of John Smith's Extra Smooth? I'll pay ..... No, really!

I just through it out there as an idea. From past WUI meetings it doesn't take very many of us to fill a table, so I was looking for a place that had enough space to accomodate whoever wanted to show.
The King's Head Pub was a good place, enough room if we sit by the window.

I know I haven't been, and I desperately do want to come out. However, I was wondering if the WUI is a group that is looking to expand - ie. is it ideally supposed to remain small, or is there a desire to generate a modest student movement (say 10 - 30).

Despite my messing with Hollywood Petkau, I support his call on this Yellow something, whatever he said.

Are you guys really talking about the Round Table on Pembina? Really? I helped spread a rumor about one of my old bosses about her job as a floor manager at the Round Table. It involved her getting gang banged at a Christmas party. It was beautiful. Anyway, all that irrelevance aside, it's at Pembina and Taylor, or somewhere about as shitty. Nobody wants to go there.

This said, I never have drank at the Mclaren. I'm thinking start at Poot's choice, then move to the dive. Who's with me?

Wow. You must be proud.

I suggested the round table, so at least one of us would be okay with going there. Someone said it may be to pricey, which is a valid excuse. "Shitty" should be a comment left to one's self.

Yeah, and maybe One should let you cry on his shoulder, too.

To your credit, though, your logic is impeccable. If one person does want to go somewhere, it's not the case that no people do. How did I mess that up?

Oh yeah, I'm not a moron--it was hyperbole. You just somehow missed it, caught up in your clever existential generalization.

Alrighty, so far it sounds like we have:

1.) The Roundtable
2.) The Kingshead
3.) The Yellowdog
4.) The Duke of Kent
5.) Yuki Sushi

Any other suggestions? Otherwise in the next day or two i'll put this to a poll and we can haggle over the date.

/\ See? Now you get it. But for the record, I was apparently blackout drunk when I made that first post.

Say, are we planning this for next Christmas or should we all just log on while sitting in our tubs with Dr. Jack Daniels ? (Note: Now THAT'S cynicism for the uninitiated )
