what a fantastic day of CFL football... Congrats Bombers, but there is no way the Riders lose this game. Too bad Stegall will retire without a championship as he is one of the best. And I definately dont feel the same way about westwood.

Look out Toronto its gonna be a hell of a week. GO RIDERS!!!!

I wish, both teams could face each other with a full and healthy O and D line. The Labour Day game went to the Riders and Banjo bowl to the Bombers.

It would be nice to answer the question of who is the better team without the added handicap the Bombers face.

In many ways, all of us were lucky enough to witness two earlier Grey Cup calibre games. It's unfortunate that this is the one that counts.

And when we prove to be the actual winners, it's back to Saskabush with your tails between your swollen, battered and bruised legs.

BTW, I'm not the one who started the thread as a name-calling match. And we all know that is the true nature of classic Canadian competition; name calling

Oh, it's on!

BRACE FOR EPIC!!

...

Okay, I'm done now.

Also, they were both great games. Winnipeg was pretty much shutting Toronto down, and the Riders were just fighting hard.

Here's to a great game at the Grey Cup. May the best team win!

Ok, Peggers. I need all the support I can get, cause out here is pseudo-riderland, I'm hearing nothing but ex-pat saskies shout "Rider Pride, Rider Pride". It's driving me insane , but I guess it shows how many Saskies are still out here, and I'm definately in the minority. Please, give it all you got, True Blue Fans!

Precisely...

It's too bad this game isn't being played in either Winnipeg or Regina.

It would also be nice if we didn't have so many injuries.

Good luck guys, this is going to be a real Barn Burner, those stiffs in T.O. won't know what hit them..

This must be a nightmare for Toronto. I suppose from a marketing objective, this is a night terror.

I am definitely looking forward to playing the Roughies in the final. It's too bad we don't have our big gun in for the game, but such is football. Hopefully the loss of Glenn is motivation for extra focus on behalf of the defense and special teams to perform, as that is paramount to any chance we might have.

From a Bomber perspective, I like the matchup of our D-line against the Sask O-line, as well as our O-line agains the Sask D-line. If the Bombers can win the war in the trenches, as well as the turnover battle, the game should be competitive. If we can't get the run going, or fall behind by 10 early, the game is pretty much over, as it would be exceptionally difficult for an inexperienced gunslinger to pull us back.

There aren't many advantages at all to having Dinwiddie in over Glenn, however, he is a more accomplished deep ball QB, so I hope we take advantage.

Andrew Greene should be back in the lineup, so recognizing what Sask is doing on most downs defenisively shouldn't be too difficult, given that he knows Richie Hall and the system very, very well. Apparently we took advantage of this in the Banjo Bowl, and I hope it continues.

If Saskatchewan's blitz is effective, it will be a loooonng evening in T.O.

Best of luck to both teams, and as per the circumstances it appears to be Regina's Grey Cup to lose.

Nonetheless, GO BOMBERS GO!

I realize the Sask boys are the favourites, but "no way the Riders lose this game"? I don't know about that. I can think of 12 reasons on the Blue Bomber defensive side of the ball that might disagree.

The Riders had a big win today fuelled by turnovers, and I think it is fair to say that a lot of BC's ills were a result of some pitiful offensive line play, where numerous times on a 3 or 4 man rush, Saskatchewan got through. Nothing against Jon Chick, Fred Perry, Fat Sassy and Marcus Adams, but the Bomber offensive front is arguably the leagues top unit. The Sask front four won't manufacture anywhere near the same level of success that they had today.

Saskatchewan is the favourite to be sure, but there are no guarantees of a win. Especially against a very, very nasty defensive unit.

In any case it's a good time to be a football fan in Manitoba, the Bombers in the Grey Cup, the U of M Bisons (undefeated) in the Vanier.

Yeah, congrats to the Bisons. I played a couple years of Junior football with John Makie in Regina and would really like to see him bring the Vanier Cup back West. (cough) Go Bisons (choke) it was tough to spit that out...lol

Hmm, I seem to recall a certain member of the Argo claiming that there was no way the Bombers were gonna succeed.

Wow, I hope he (and everyone else who believe that nonsense) enjoy eating crow.

There were hundreds of people celebrating in the streets at the corner of Albert and Vic in Regina tonight. It was a beautiful sight
