Saw this morning some heavy equipment being moved/setup where the new LSU big dorm will be built on Poydras. That whole Galvez corridor has several warehouses for sale and is about to happen for sure.

That's it! I could not remember what it was called. My memory loss is not due to how much I drank up there.

I remember traveling to NOLA to visit family as a kid and my parents took us up to the "Top of the Mart" during the day. As a youngster, I was fascinated with the view and obviously the continual rotation. What plans does Four Seasons have for this?

Today, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) held the groundbreaking ceremony for the I-10/Loyola Drive Interchange Project. The new interchange will improve regional traffic flow and will provide direct access between I-10 and #TheNewMSY airport terminal. This project is vitally important to support the future growth of the city of Kenner and the region

Holy Crap! I really hope no one was killed by this. Obviously, there was some major structural flaw in the construction of this building. The building will have to be taken down since it's a safety hazard now.

Hard Rock Collapse

This is really eery because I was going to post on here the other day, every time I drove by something just seems cheap, or off about the building. I guess my instinct was sadly correct. Hoping now they can find the missing folks. What a mess.

Horrible. The families of the missing workers must be terrified. Praying for them.

Someone on a nola.com article commented that both cranes ran into each other, and the loads fell onto the top floor. Shockwaves then shook the building leading to the collapse. Definitely speculation, but it kind of makes sense from eyewitnesses who said there was a bang and a bunch of debris falling before it collapsed.

I bet the insurance writes off the entire structure; podium and all.
