yes they did .. the lawsuit was filed after the issues were fixed.. i suspect the same thing will happen with the canopy once thats finished

That's sounds horrible. Is it going where the blue tape is? If so, I can't see how they are allow to block the sidewalk like that. No one wants to walk on a narrowed sidewalk, especially in that area at night. I understand they have to do something about the flooding, but why not put it right next to the building?

I hope they at least make them planters and not just and ugly concrete wall. Wouldn’t it be better to upsize (or maybe just clean) the drainlines under the Street? Is this flooding karma for renovating/enlarging the property right before the stormwater retention regulations went into place and not abiding by what they would have required?

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about The Matador now that The Julia is nearly complete. I think True Foods is opening in about 30 days.

Saw projected height at 150 ft. Bellsouth tower is 200 and the annex is 125 so should be somewhere between those two just for perspective in that last image

The bigger rumor in Baton Rouge is that Amazon will buy Cortana Mall, tear it down, and build a massive distribution center there.

Also, airline tenant orientation begins next week in the new terminal according to a friend who works for an airline there.

ok so i finally got more information today while walking by one of the engineers... the taped off areas will be covered in planters and greenery and they will be able to slide small gates into the opening areas whenever a major flood event is happening ... sounds like it could be really nice

makes sense since amazon has been buying dead malls all over the us for distribution centers...
