Thanks for the great pictures! The trees really add a lot of drama. They are beautiful.
I say that because here I am in Miami and I read articles like this that just makes you shake your head.
Activists fighting to preserve a slice of one of the world’s rarest forests lost what was likely the last legal battle to stop the imperiled ecosystem from turning into a Walmart-anchored development.
Good view of the Building Maintenance Unit . Need a drone shot of the track system setup on the roof deck for the BMU.

Here is the triangular shaped building between the Howe Street ramp and Granville Bridge. It's shape exactly matches the space created by the ramp and bridge. By sheer coincidence I was taking the pics just as the sun was perfectly aligned to light up the whole building from bottom to top. Notice how the shadows from the ramp and bridge almost perfectly frame the base of the building. A little while later or earlier and it wouldn't have been like that. Also, if it was a month later or earlier the sun would have been lower in the sky and the triangle of light would not have matched the pointed end like that. So, if you want to try to get that shot, go around the longest day of the year on a sunny day at about 2:24 PM daylight savings time.

There is a public hearing for a 3,440 sq ft distillery and brewhouse at 1462 Granville Street, part of or adjacent to Vancouver House. The hearing is on Tuesday, July 9th at 6 pm at City Hall. More info at vancouver.ca/publichearings and vancouver.ca/rezapps
The idea question occurred to me ... could those buildings, in any combination, house a new Vancouver Art Gallery? (probably not but I thought I'd try the idea) ...
I was in town last week and drove into downtown over the Granville Street Bridge. Even though I intellectually knew that the two triangular office buildings flank Granville Street before Pacific, it still caught me by surprise that they were so prominent. The whole project is looking fantastic. What an addition to the city.
