I’m always amused by these renderings. One black guy, one Asian woman, one possibly vaguely Latino or south Asian looking guy, and no one over 35. Or is that just reality?

Better yet..... the weather and the clothing. it is either a really nice warm day or it's a really cold day. Outside lady with white pants and a tank top and inside 2 ladies with jackets and scarf ! ? see last pic. weird. But then again it is SF and there are days/weeks? months like this. So i take it back. NOT weird. Gotta be ready for anything.

The woman outside is from SF and used to be topsy-turvy weather, the women inside are visiting from LA, where people reach for their parkas when it drops below 65.

It'd be amazing if we could avoid digressing into comments about the people in the renderings—nearly every time.

More related; are there any further updates on approvals for this? The last thing I remember was that it's prob a decade out from start (or maybe remembering an exaggerated claim)?

That's definitely a Salesforce Lobby with the giant, woodsy LED screen

Here's the shadow analysis for it. Looks like they adjusted the height from 806 to 800.

Salesforce is reportedly planning on moving in in 5 years and the Chronicle reported last November that Hines planned to break ground by the end of this year.

You probably read the recent pessimistic discussion of Prop. M's effects on upcoming projects but in fact this one is likely a priority (and there's plenty of Prop. M space for it and several more like it), given that it's already leased by the seriously connected Mr. Benioff. The expectation for approval shortly could slip a bit and the rest of the timetable with it, but I doubt Benioff would have signed a lease if he didn't think the space would be there when he needs it and he almost certainly has a realistic judgement of when it will come online.

This tower continues to dazzle! At least in the renderings. As long as it does not get too value engineered, it should be a stunner.

Definitely. It will be fun watching this if they ever start. I would love to see the LED lit up crown in the future too!

Just imagining our skyline once this and Oceanwide is completed is exciting!

Wow, Salesforce needs another huge skyscraper already? They must be growing fast.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff: Our $20 billion revenue target just became that much more attainable
PUBLISHED WED, FEB 28 2018 • 6:23 PM EST UPDATED WED, FEB 28 2018 • 7:19 PM EST
Lizzy Gurdus

“Mad Money” host Jim Cramer sits down with Salesforce founder, Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff to discuss the company’s earnings results.

Benioff says that his company’s latest earnings results will help Salesforce reach its $20 billion revenue goal.

Salesforce.com’s goal of reaching a revenue run rate of $20 billion by 2022 just got a lot more realistic, Salesforce founder, Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff told CNBC on Wednesday.

In an exclusive interview with “Mad Money ” host Jim Cramer after earnings, Benioff touted his cloud company’s “blowout quarter.”

Salesforce beat analysts’ earnings estimates by 1 cent and posted higher-than-expected revenue, up 24 percent year over year. The company also raised its quarterly and full-year guidance . . . .

The $20 billion goal refers to Salesforce’s annual run rate, or an estimate of what the company will make in sales for a given year in the future.

Salesforce’s deferred revenue on the balance sheet grew by 28 percent year over year, while its un-billed, off-balance-sheet deferred revenue grew 48 percent year over year*.

Benioff told Cramer that this quarter was boosted by Salesforce signing more million-dollar contracts than ever before.

Much of the strength came from Europe, where Salesforce entered into contracts with major global brands like Adidas and big financial players like Deutsche Bank . . . .
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/28/sale...ue-target.html

The Salesforce business model is selling software as a service via multi-year contracts for software that runs in the cloud. Therefore, they have a lot of deferred revenue: Contracts for out-years that won't be billed until the year in question arrives.

My guess is they will move it's employees from Salesforce West + East once this is completed. Unless they plan to own/lease all of these buildings at once? That would be SUPER crazy!

I doubt that since they own Salesforce West and have a long lease on East. It’s for expansion. Remember too that this tower is a multi use building with only part of it dedicated to office space.

From the Fastcast Shadow Analysis Report (link above):
“The proposed project would develop the project site with a 62-story, approximately 944,800 gross square feet (gsf), mixed-use high-rise tower that would have a height of 750 feet and 800 feet to the top of the rooftop mechanical features. The proposed project would include approximately 238,700 gsf of hotel uses (189 guest rooms), 434,100 gsf of residential uses (165 units), 274,000 gsf of office uses, 8,900 square feet (sf) of retail space, and 14,900 sf of open space.”

. . . the Parcel F project (542-55 Howard St.) has run into an office allocation issue, which Planning says will come in front of the Planning Commission either this fall or in 2020.
