Vancouver Snow

Hi all, we had the biggest snowfall in 25 years a few days ago. Here's a couple photos by Rod Dechaine.

That's just bizarre; it's like a shot out of "The Day After Tomorrow."
Looks good, though.

Wow that 2nd one is a stunner.

In 1990 or thereabouts I went to Vancouver for 3 days on an exchange program with some UBC students and it snowed just before we went up there. It looked a lot like these pics here.

yea my friends has been telling me about it. I wish I could be in Vancouver for those nice snow shots. Haven't seen so much snow in Vancouver for a very long time. Wish you could post some more later on.

Says who? If I recally correctly we had 3 feet + in 1997. It even caused a Canucks - Sharks game to be cancelled at GM Place due to the amount of snow on the roof.

Awesome shots though!

I believe that this is the most snow fall in 25 years in November only. There defenitly was alot more sow in 97 and I think 89 or 90 or around that time there also was a masive snow fall.
This November has actualy been a crazy month here in Vancouver.
1)Most rainfall in a November, ever at something like 375 or so ml.
2)Most rainfall in a 24h period in a long long time(think its a record in some metro areas)
3)Two major storms with close to typhoon strength winds(one gust was meashured at 125+km/h in West Van).
4)Two week water boil advisory because of land slides in to the lakes.
5)Most overall snow in a November ever.
6)The coldest day in November ever at -12 at the airport and with a windchill of -20.
