Just feels like he Googled "Winnipeg military" and pulled the name off the 1st hit.
It also made me wonder how centrally decided the branding was. You usually dont see central league execs explaining branding, and I would dislike knowing this was devised in some office tower in Toronto vs locally.
I really dislike the logo, and think its the tied for worst in the league with York. I wish the crest looked a lot more like Cavalry's as I feel ours is too busy, subtraction by too much addition. I think the logo would look cleaner if it was just "Valour" at the top without the ribbon part that adds nothing to me.
Overall, I think Halifax and Cavalary got their branding right.
I already disliked IGF for the Bombers and think it was a mis-step.Im really worried about how bad the atmosphere will be at IGF if its just lower bowl on 1 side. Even the bigger water-carriers of this league hesitantly admit this. I've been to Bisons game with that same layout and it just doesnt feel nice. I wish they had a stadium size that was more the size of the old Bison stadium.
All-in-all, cant see myself ever going to their games as I dislike soccer as a sport, but good luck to them.

I agree it looks like one team made all the logos so far. Which is extremely bizarre considering this is a CLUB league and not a FRANCHISE league (aka league has no "ownership" of club).
Halifax is the only really nice one I'd say. The York9 name is ridiculous. Cavalry's logo is horrendous, looks like MS Paint, and I can't believe a Calgary team is going to be wearing green. I actually quite like our crest but the V on it's own looks horrendous (it needs to be filled in – see their social media profiles), and I'd prefer blue and gold. It's not just "Bomber" colours (and they own the team), it's actually our city colours.

Lots of fans back then were pissed that I would mention as they all thought TNSE would be owning the team and they are good at this stuff.
I look at today and I wonder how some of them feel, as some of the guys who seem to be in the know have said CanPL picked the bombers/IGF over TNSE at the Goldeyes stadium.
Considering York is playing in a 3000 seat stadium, and Halifax is putting up cheap stands for now, I wonder if expanding temp seating at Waverley would have worked better.
I don't care how much water carrying some are doing, but you cant convince me IGF will be a good venue for this team. Its already not the greatest for the Bombers...

IGF will be awful for this until/if they start drawing 20,000+ fans a game. Didn't they renovate Bison Stadium as part of the IGF project? That's where this should be – and if they need more than 5,000 seats, put up a grandstand.
Watching a sub-10,000 person soccer game at IGF is going to be like the awful last 20 years of Argo games at Rogers Centre.
