Sweet TDI.

I just test drove a 2007 Lexus IS250 RWD 6MT at lunch... my goodness, what an awesome car. Salesman let me drive to UBC where I took full advantage of that 70km/h speed limit to test going WOT in 1st and 2nd gear... now the IS250 is far from the fastest car in the world but it still sunk my body into the seat, crazy. So comfy too, I never knew how awesome ventilated seats actually were until today. Only asking $26k too with only 32,000km on the odometer, but it's an Ontario car and it's been in a decent accident.

Drool... lol.

Oh crap I bought a car last March and forgot about this thread.

(my photo)

2011 Mazda 2

Can't beat it for the type of driving I do (flat urban). People love the colour, especially girls. Lots of people come up to me just to talk about it.

There are quite a few of these on the road now, most colours blend in with all the other subcompacts, but I love my little green booger.

I absolutely do not let dogs or any animal in my car without being in a crate.

I bought a 2012 Ford Focus last week, and I got to drive it a total of four times before leaving on a business trip to France.

Thanks. It's a Titanium. Can't wait to get back and drive it some more. I'm taking it on a road trip to Banff and Jasper in September.

DKaz, I hope you haven't bought that Lexus because based on what you just said, you should avoid this car like a plague, regardless of the price or mileage. It will haunt you later down the road if you ever sell it later on. Plus being an out of province car, there is always a possibility that the "decent" accident maybe far far worse off that you will never know (a local car, at least you can check the history through ICBC).

At the very least, get a Carfax but ultimately, such vehicles should be avoided. There will always be other cars out there that would be better.

I got a CarPro or CarFax or whatever, very detailed through the life of the car. The accident occurred in BC... $4,200 damage to the front right. On a car like this, $4,200 is likely cosmetic and sheet metal only, no structural damage. At just 31,000km it's still a baby.

An 06 Lexus IS250 in Toronto is going for $17,000, mind you with much higher mileage.

Nice S2k, Coldrsx. That's what I love about not driving to work... I can choose a car that's fun to drive that I want rather than one that's good on gas.

Nice. With active park assist? Have you had a chance to drive it more? I test drove both a manual and automatic SE. i would've gone for an SEL manual but I really like that dual clutch automatic, it feels like driving a real manual, but automated. But Focus was too small, wife didn't like it. Too bad, it drives like an upscale car, I love the interior.

I traded in my Mazda 5 for a brand new Mazda 3 Skyactiv, 6 speed manual, leather, I'm averaging 7L/100km with it, I love it. The seats are like something out of a more expensive sports sedan, albeit with thin-ish leather. I was also considering VW Jetta TDI and Hyundai Elantra.

Since February I have been driving a fully loaded 2012 BMW X1 xDrive28i. I like the car quite a bit.

Nice car! I went with the Jetta TDI, I just couldn't get past the 3's grille. But your mileage is pretty close to what I'm getting (6.5l/100 km)
