I'm not exactly thrilled about the design. I do like the base, and the podium area will be nice as it faces the river. Other than that, I really don't like it.

Don't worry too much though, this is only one tower in this project. There will be two other towers also, a residential one, and an office tower. The 49-story tower shown in the rendering below is still in the works. I believe that is the residential tower.

So I'm not sure if they're still planning the 49-story tower condo tower that had been planned a while back. I would imagine that even if it's not being immediately planned, that it could still be. The site consists of 3 acres, easily enough land to host three towers. It would also give the project three major uses, condominiums, apartments, hotel along with the attached museum component.

They only gave vague specifics for the first two buildings. They seem to be waiting out for a recovery to see if the market could stomach a big project instead of proposing outright a large third tower only to have it fail in the process. If that is the case, and if the recovery is a good one, we could end up with something taller than 49 stories as the third tower.

Then again, this is me being hopeful.
