Great SA pics from Flickr

These are some of the best SA photos I've ever seen, imo.
All pictures were taken by paul is just dandy. There's 155 of 'em

This is one of my favorites, I think it shows the height of the Weston Centre nicely. On a side note, I sure do wish the brick on the Crowne Plaza wasn't stained at the top

Great pics! Anyone know where this is? Looks like the La Cantera area.

EDIT: Ok, I should have read the caption of this photo. This is slightly down the road in Helotes. Only question is, what road is this taken from?

Ah, I thought I had seen these before. These belong to forumer Boquillas here on the forum. He's from Bozeman, MT, but I believe also used to live in San Antonio.

Here's another thread of pics he did of San Antonio. I recogized those far away skyline pics, the panos and that squirrel pic from a thread he did a while back.

EDIT:

Yep, here's the thread he did with those photos. Great pics by the way!

San Antonio pics

Very impressive pictures. I especially like the vast green areas included. San Antonio truly is beautiful seen from these perspectives.

Ha ha, you guys discovered my pics! I clicked the link on this thread, and thought, "That's a pretty good shot of the Weston Center," then I realized it was mine! And now you know my real name, too (not to be confused with another SA forumer with the same first name...)

Thanks for all the kind words!

It's true, I left S.A. for Montana (actually, I'm in Italy until May, then I'll be in NYC all summer with my g/f). But my heart will always be in S.A.!

Oh, and MOPACS, that shot from Helotes is in the San Antonio Ranch subdivision, along Bandera Road (Highway 16). The streets look like they were originally planned to be some kind of high-traffic-volume parkway, but if you turn around from where I took that shot, the road ends in another 500 feet.

Boquillas, kudos to you on the resolution of your pics on Flickr (1280x960), it's almost exactly the same resolution as my notebook (1280x768) so they make for great desktop wallpaper without having to scale it down and lose quality
