Again, great photos !
Since the focus on the construction of the SWFC, I've never spent so much time admiring Jin Mao.

looking great- thanx for all the pics!

So small floor plates compared to JM- so there won't be any open atrium at the top? (forgive me for not scrolling back many pages). And also- what's the height as known now?

A quick recap of stats would be appreciated.

^1614 ft/492m...I don't why they didn't make it an even 500m when it's that close.

The'll be an observation deck at the giant hole in the top of the building if that's what you mean by an open atrium...although I find it kind of annoying that all of the city's observation decks like these are right next door to each other.

Right.
But from the Oriental Pearl, you'll enjoy the view of the SWFC and vice-versa.

Thanks AAT- by 'open atrium' I meant similar to the hotel of Jin Mao-upper interior.

No worries- this will be a great tower! Will the ob deck be on the bottom of the hole or on top? Have there been final renderings of the top? My apologies but this building has been through so many delays and redesigns, I'm just now getting adreneline back for it- it looks great so far!!! But any reposts of what will be would be appreciated.

From the renderings it looks like there will be some kind of 'bridge' at the bottom of that hole, that will feature an observation deck.

I'm curious about if this will be the highest located observation deck in the world.

Taken in June...

And staff that bridge will be the highest placed bridge of it's kind in the world... actually a reason the architects fought so hard for the hole... as far as I have read...

yeah, they could have had the title of WTB a lot longer than they will have now.

Me too. There is only 3 levels between the bridge and the observation deck (100F), but they're a tall 3 levels.

Hi guys,

Just letting you know the forums are offline because we've been moved to another network, which requires some parts within the servers network to be updated. Also this weekend work on the new database has started, so even if it eventually turns back online, expect some outages and bumpy service. But is should all be for the good. Thanks for the patience!

Cheers,

looks like the cores gonna have to be reconfigured around 4 more times before the hole, maybe this aint gonna rise quite as quickly as we'd been expecting.

Wow looking at this closeup of Jin Mao on the right side, and I didn't realize how beautiful Jin Mao really was. Exemplary design!!!

Also I see the corners on WFC starting to take shape! Too bad that the huge structural diagonal braces are not showing, but the cladding is extraordinary.
