Well if this thing actually starts rising in 2008 it would mark the first time in a long time that a major development moved fast in Buffalo. Cool...it's only a year away.

True, but this is still Buffalo, and things could change real quick with preservationist, protesters, and God knows what else. I won't celebrate until I see shovels in the ground.

Why is there no diagram of this building on the city diagram search of Buffalo? There is a building of equal height proposed in Milwaukee called the Lake Pointe Tower and it was first mentioned on this site a little more than a month before the Buffalo City Tower. We need a diagram!

Antares41 is "giving it serious concideration", at least that's what he posted last month.

One hold up had to be the height question. Nobody knew if it were only going to be 33 ft. taller than The HSBC Tower. We have sense learned that the metric system is in play here, which should put it near the expected height. Now that all the facts are being compiled into booklet form, it should speed up the process.

I actually started, but, it is difficult to draw from the rendering. Hard to get a sense of it true width and depth. Plus, the screens also take some time. Get back to you in a couple of days!

Just as I suspected BUFFALOVE, things are happening, but there are questions that need to be resolved first. Hang in there!

Buffalo needs this. All of the buildings are ancient.

I wish we would be more in the loop with how things are progressing. I understand this won’t get started until probably 2008 and these things take a lot of time but I'd like to hear about potential tenants and what percentage we are at now. I'd also love to know how The Statler renovations are going.
And an image on the city diagram search.

Ground may not have broken, and the 40% sales mark may or may not have been met, but The HSBC tower is already conceding that it will soon be Buffalo's 2nd tallest building according to Wikipedia encyclopedia.

Excellent, excellent news. Man, for the first time EVER I might have to schedule in a trip to Buffalo specifically to check out all the new construction!
