It will be interesting to hear how much the ticket prices/sales enters into the game-day chatter. Will they ignore it and focus on calling the game, or will they prattle on about it endlessly? If the latter, what will their take be? "Good for Winnipeg not paying those exorbitant prices" or "shame on Winnipeg for not supporting this event"?

Or maybe no-one really cares and the "issue" disappears after the game is over?

Good article in the Freep about sales and ticket pricing, they even mention that a ticket to a preseason game for the Vikings could be had for as little as $12.!

Decided to updated my attendance table after two more home games (four total). Added more historical data (back to 2004 is available on Wikipedia).

What year did the CFL get rid of local television blackouts?

I wouldn't be panicking about attendance just yet. Through 4 games of 2019, attendance is actually ahead of where it was after 4 games of 2016. The Banjo Bowl bump hasn't happened yet and that will help the average.

Yeah, attendance is down somewhat from most years in IGF (even with a good team) but that's a CFL-wide issue, not just specific to the Bombers. Not the first time there have been attendance woes and it won't be the last.

Now as for the NFL exhibition game, that's another matter altogether. Simply a terrible miscalculation of the pain threshold for ticket prices IHMO. No reflection on the Bombers at all.

Pretty sure bombers have nothing to do with the tickets or pricing for the NFL game. It's a promoter or something like that.

I've been to I think 1 game in the last few years since they treated my wife and I like criminals. Had a ticketing issue, the lady at the gate let us in, people were in our seats and we let the usher know. Next thing theres 3 big security guys in red cornering us. Then as were being escorted out, the guy at th gate says that was you get for being drunk. I still like the team but havent been up to getting out there.

I don't think anyone will really care. It's not like Toronto leaped at the chance to pay for comically overpriced preseason NFL tickets even though it was presented to some extent as a test run for a possible NFL franchise. So I'm not sure why anyone expected a different result here, especially since there is no potential NFL team angle to be used to cajole us into buying tickets.

With the absurd prices they're charging, it's actually a small miracle that they've managed to sell 15,000 or so tickets as it is.

It's actually a pretty good shirt, minus the error. Looks SSP-approved. I would totally wear one

Big first place showdown for the Bombers tomorrow, can they pull it off without everyone's favourite whipping boy lining up behind centre?

I love the design too. If they could get the province correct I'd buy one in a shot.

Can you ship it to Mikes Parcel Pickup in Pembina ND and drive there to get it?

I have done that before, but as Esquire said...I'm not doing it for a T-shirt.

He said it was a mistake from amazon.

Speaking of the game, just under 10,000 seats available on TM. My work sent out an email this morning saying they were given a number of free tickets to give away.

Yeah. Looks like they blocked out a bunch of seats and are giving them away.

I wonder what it'll look like on TV tonight. Any updated sales figures?
