Thanks for sharing those! I've been curious to see some updates on the demo progress.

Goodbye Super Drum

Aw, goodbye "super drum." Not the most beautiful building in the world, but it looked pretty cool when it was young (like a lot of people I know). Lots of memories of that place - concerts, games, registration...

My high school and college graduations were in that building. It had a face only a mother could love but still gonna miss it.

Here it is under construction nearly a half century ago

Everything I saw indicated four - obviously that changed.

Articles about the expansion say four floors, but there is a partial fifth floor. It looks like they are keeping the mechanical on the original roof, but maybe the fifth new floor is also mechanical.

The fourth floor is the one they’re working on. The floor directly above the existing hospital will be MEP plant.

Two ~12-story hospitals. One run by UT and one by MD Andersen, and there are no renderings yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's also cancer research, right?

That's the MD Anderson one. The main one is in Houston - one of the top cancer hospitals in the nation, if not globally.
