I love your photos and the diversity of habitats.

Please consider wandering up the Rock river side of the QCA.

I would love to see your perspective of Black Hawk's homeland and of Deere's

headquarters - and whatever else might strike your fancy.

I spent much of my youth wandering the Rock Valley and many of the sites I wandered

alone (for birds and habitats) have been built over, but I would like to be given your

perspective.

Wonderful pics, you definitely have an eye for things! And did I see Pelicans in your one pic? If so interesting, had no idea they could be found in Iowa!

Reminds me of Harrisburg, PA in many ways, including the minor league stadium and the backdrop from certain angles. Looks like a beautiful place and I would love to tour some of these "overlooked" states/cities that I haven't been to yet.

I took an impromptu day trip to the Quad Cities from Chicago in 2018. I really didn't know anything about the area beforehand, and I was pleasantly surprised. Its definitely an overlooked area but it really shouldn't be. Davenport especially is a beautiful city. Thanks for the photos!

Rooted Arborial - Thank you! I will certainly visit some of those sites in 2020. I appreciate the suggestions!

jdcamb - Man I've seen some nasty spills at that event when it was still being held in Rock Island. You are brave. I’ll stick to our mellow bike paths.

EastSideHBG – I don’t recall ever seeing one when I was young but pelicans have become a very common site during the spring and summer months. I hope you get the chance to visit someday. There are a lot of good things happening here off the tourist trail.

DetroitSky – You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay!
