Your cities approved, but never built, structures

I've seeing tons of building proposals go through the permitting process and gain planning approval. But then the development proposals stall, are forgotten, never to be built (as least not as of today). What are some of the interesting developments in your city that secured all planning permission for development but was never able to rise out of the ground.

I know it doesn't look like much, but this 20-storey building was suppose to be the first of the midrises in Journal Square district of Jersey City. It's been long approved, but no construction as of yet and has been forgotten. This was one of the first midrises approved as part of the current renaissance.

The one I was looking for is completely forgotten. It was suppose to be a 20 storey mixed-use building with a movie theater, student center, and dorms to be part of a NJCU expansion (I think). It would have been a huge development for the area. It was scheduled to break ground but never did. (Anyone remember what that development was called?)

Not in my city, but I always thought this was a big, big loss for Chicago.
