We should start an annual blog "people's choice" award for best low/mid/high-rise design.

Very curious to see them attach the crown.

Same here - some of the later renderings make it a bit unclear about whether there will even be a crown and to the naked eye it definitely appears that the top just continues straight up. I really hope we get the curved peak that was pitched from the start.

You should see the SLC building on the SE corner of 5th & Spring Garden.

That thing is sexy as hell. The cladding looks super expensive and modern/industrial. It effectively looks like what Toll rendered for its building on N Broad before they cost engineered it.

I think the SLC building is the nicest new multi family building going up at the moment.

Isn't it wonderful that there's a legit argument for which new multifamily building on the east side of Spring Garden is the most beautiful and of the best quality?

Heck yeah, I saw that yesterday - That's going to be such a key element to the overall design

Those are City vehicles. The Fire Administration Building is next door. I'm sure sure about a solution outside of the City building a garage or a surface lot.

Loving this building so far, even the cornice, which is classic. The only miss to me is the offset windows on the one side in that last photo, which doesn't fit with the rest of the building, which is much more classical in it's design elements.

SoNo...really? c'mon. That sounds terrible.
Callowhill is already a defined area to the west of this area.

So its East Callowhill, or East Callow to be trendy.

I envision all of these big boxy warehouse building being demo'd one day. Its a great location.
2nd to 8th st. ... Spring Garden to Callowhill St.
With the curvy Willow st. being like a south street with bars and art galleries. It would be cool.

Staggered windows is / was the laziest design trend. Sad to see it snuck into this building. Also, I was expecting to see a brick cornice but I'm more than happy with the fiberglass one that's going in.

Agreed
I always thought "The Liberty District"
It gives Northern Liberties something to be north of.
