I love the SCAD campus design! (has anyone been to the top of the parking deck in their first building? I haven't but know the views are over the top).

Why are they wanting to build a 300 space deck and why is it even allowed? Parking is expensive and unless there is a significant retail component, this makes no sense for 194 units. With that said, shouldn't even be allowed.

I disagree. There is no decent access to rail at this location, and I doubt many people would rent there without somewhere for guests to park.

If this project is contingent on potential guest parking, reject the project. Not worth it. This project is fairly walkable in the SE quadrant and great bus routes. We need to stop building unnecessary parking to accommodate to made up demand.

Not to mention future (one of these days) Beltline rail.

I can't tell if they only did it for the rendering, but that looks like a brick facade almost all the way up.

As info, this is going on in on the corner of centennial Olympic park drive and Ivan Allen, right next to that ‘revolution’ apartment being built. It will be caddy corner to the civil rights museum

Can someone do a side by side of the old rendering?

Toll Brothers project on Spring moving forward

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/..._news_headline

And at 35 floors and on a hilltop it should show up nicely in the skyline.

Damn, this city is on fire.

Last week I saw tree removal signs for the residential tower at 8th and Peachtree (Bezoria/Noodle site). Really hope this moves forward. They received their land development building permit back in April.

The article doesn't say though I think someone on one of the threads mentioned a tentative Spring 2020 date, but I'm not certain on that.

Perhaps we’ll see another wave of residential construction in the new year. New city, 880 Peachtree, Midtown Union, the other 5th & juniper, 3 midtown toll brothers towers, maybe the project across from Krispy Kreme. That’s in addition to all those already under construction.

Unfortunately the developers withdrew the application for the project across from Krispy Kreme. NIMBYs got worked up over it. The developers presented new massing, then asked for a thirty day deferral. Then they pulled the rezoning application.
