In the new preliminary HDRC agenda, there is a proposal for the construction of a 10-story mixed-use building on the block bordered by Euclid, Myrtle, Elmira, and Locust.

Yes, both look good and impressive scale.

Other one has retail, and the perspective rendering shown just about made me... how do I say this politely... spontaneously orgasm? 😂😂

What's orgasmic about them? Are they modern or more old school? Or is it the retail part?

Not super modern... rendering isn’t meant to show precise materials or anything, but looks compatible with Pearl construction. But breathtaking scale (at least to me) and a money shot of the pool deck that just looks amazing.

Not sure if the timeline

Actually, I'm fairly surprised the impact this has on the skyline. For being a 20-ish floor building, it adds quite a bit of substance!

Honestly, I think it was the garage. I feel that it made the building taller than initially anticipated because it still has the 20+ floors f the hotel and residences. Could be wrong though.

I've seen the renderings, too, and met with the developers. It looks like a really beautiful project, and this business has been superb in their interactions with the neighborhood association. Recently, though, I learned that they had to scale down the construction just a bit because the owner of the lot right at the corner of Elmira and Myrtle (I think) has chosen to pull out of the bigger development and do something on their own. But the general project still looks similar in scale and design. They very intentionally are avoiding a "big brown box" kind of building.

Love the Thompson on the skyline view from Alamo Stadium, the only bad thing is it covered the Tower Life Building from that view, but it is what it is!

I will be doing all new skyline photo updates once the Thompson is completed! I wanted to them when Frost exterior was finished but the Thompson was not to far behind in the race so I'm waiting.
