The Venus Project: A sustainable, better future

Not sure if this is the appropriate sub-forum for this. The venus project is a visionary project, by a Florida based visionary architect. There are definately green, sustainable elements incorporated into his vision of future society, but it also tackles a wide array of present day societal ills, seeking to eliminate poverty, scarcity, hunger, war, violence, disease, famine, corruption, bigotry, hatred, malcontent, and greed. It is quite amazing to watch the videos and think what positive things the future may have in store for all of humanity, a kind of utopian vision.

Future By Design

Hey Mind Field,
I have a big interest in Jacque Fresco's ideas. I live in a kind of retarded part of the world, the UK . This is where people get great ideas/designs, but because the extremely short sighted cannot see potential or instant and all greedy profit, they ignore it completely or do everything in their power to blow the idea out of the water.
Oddly enough, a lot like the US and other countries where the power is with the oil companies and their cronies.
I have only just joined the forum, only found the web site today, so I thought I would dive right in here.
BobH.

I must admit, to watch about this has me completely inspired. Is there anyway to take part in this project. It would surely make to be an exciting and enlightening journey to be a part of. I really can see this to be a reality someday.
