Interesting. Looks like it has 30 floors of office above 10+ floors of parking and a crown of 5-10 floors. Could be 650 - 700 ft range.

IF he were to build anything... this rendering has been around for ages, so it'd probably not be this design.

1125 Peachtree has started the permitting process by consolidating all parcels on that block into one. Not much, but it's a start.

If I had to pick a Selig project to start first, I'd rather 1125 Peachtree. Granted, I want 1105 West Peachtree to happen, too. I just think the lot at 1125 Peachtree is a bigger, higher profile eye sore; and a 51 story tower would be awesome!

I'd probably agree if 1125 took up the entirety of the block (the short little white and glass building kills me) and there were more residences included. I think 1105 will have a greater impact on the neighborhood as a whole though, as it has substantially more office space, much more retail, and comparable hotel & residential units to 1125. 1125 Would probably be a more prominent addition to the skyline, however.

Hey, Chris. I'm not sure if I'm using this forum correctly, but could you tell me where you found this image? I've been searching the Surber Barber Yada Yada page to no avail.

Apologies if this is old news but apparently Lennar has broken ground on its apartment tower at the old Rio Bravo site.

Quote:
Lennar Multifamily Communities, a subsidiary of Lennar, broke ground this week on the Gentry, a 21-story, 290-unit apartment complex in Buckhead Village at the site of the former Rio Bravo Fresh Mex on Roswell Road. The project is set to include 6K SF of retail, and move-ins are expected to begin in the middle of 2020.

Yeah, they’re deep into the ground now.

Are they? I believe it's common knowledge the Irby Ave project was deep in the ground and going vertical, but I don't think anyone brought up that lennar had broken ground (bisnow reported it this week), yet alone deep into the ground.

If we are talking about the property due north of Hanover, yes, they are deep in the ground. bisnow is a day late and a dollar short. And actually, I brought it up when they demoed the buildings on that site.

Nice, I didn't realize there had been that much movement! Good to know, thanks.

Not much new going on in Midtown but:

- 5th and Juniper are basically complete with LD, they have not started pouring any concrete yet.
- Anthem site is a a little skinnier than I thought it would be, there's room on the south end of that plot for another tower as I think was in the initial plans. The also have a crew working on burying utilities for both CODA and Anthem at 4th and W. Peachtree for the past few weeks
- 1105 has had a crew working on utilities all week on W. Peachtree, still no heavy equipment on site
- The MARK has started LD and is working on burying utilities along PP.
- Opus has had a small crew out every day this week pushing around dirt

I noticed today demo has started on the existing buildings at 1781 Peachtree for the new apartment/mixed use towers. Nice improvement for that neighborhood.

This isn't an office tower, correct? It's a test tower for Thyssenkrupp.
