This thing is just massive and overwhelming (in a good way) at street level. As impressive as the core is becoming on the skyline, I can only imagine the impact when the steel rises above the surrounding rooflines.

so there are about 3 floors per cross-brace, so it should be easy to track floor progress!

Looking good. I'm ready to see some glass already! Anyone have any inside insides on when we will?

No, but, in the meantime, the parking lot on the NW corner of 19th & Arch has a nice mockup with the exterior materials. It's going to be a very interesting and varied facade. To my uneducated eye, it reminds me of the old World Trade Center in its use of metal ribbing (this time with darker glass and "cross-bracing").

I'm not positive, but don't they need to "spray on" cement the steel for fire-proofing before installing the cladding? I may be wrong. But it looks like glass won't happen until they do this procedure, at least?

Dammit, Jim, I'm a lawyer, not an engineer. I think that you are correct, but I'm the least qualified to opine here.

if I remember correctly, FMC didn't start getting glass installed until after insulation was sprayed, so that may be what is it...maybe they should start doing those things "as you go" to save time?

Hey all, really new to this site and architecture in general but I was wondering if there was blue print or floor plan that is available for this. It looks so awesome I'd love to see the plans for it (beyond renders).

Just walked by and saw five cement trucks parked on 18th street and two more parked on JFK. Might see this rise again very soon.
